Lúcia Guarnieri
Geologist – MAIGGeologist with a Master’s degree in Petrography and Mineralogy and over 22 years of experience in mineral exploration. I have led mineral exploration projects in Brazil, Latin America, and Africa. My expertise includes mineralizations of Au, Au-Cu, Fe, Fe-Mn, and base metals (Zn-Pb-Cu), as well as strategic and critical minerals such as Li, graphite, REE (Rare Earth Elements), zircon, and others, along with industrial minerals and gemstones. Among my main responsibilities are the management and coordination of exploration projects, preparation of JORC and NI 43-101 technical reports, geological potential assessment, evaluation of mineral assets (both valuation and due diligence types), geological opinion, targeting, and prospect assessment. Additionally, I provide support for engineering (preparation of the Economic Exploitation Plan), research and development (technological characterization and applicability), re-evaluation of resources and reserves, geo-structural mapping, mine mapping, and drilling, including underground mining.
Johann Waterkemper
GeologistGeologist graduated from UFSC, with a Master’s degree in Structural Geology from UFRJ and an MBA in Data Science and Analytics from USP. He has solid experience in leading mineral exploration projects in major provinces across Brazil and Latin America, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and driving technological innovations throughout the entire exploration chain. Among his main contributions are the implementation of advanced data analyses, the development of custom code for processing and modeling, the multi-sensor modernization of drill core analysis, automated mapping of mining fronts, and the redesign of exploratory data workflows. He specializes in integrating geophysical, geochemical, and hyperspectral data, combining geoprocessing and geological mapping techniques in GIS, Leapfrog, and ENVI. Proficient in Python, he develops machine learning models (random forest, ensemble, clustering, PCA) and deep learning (CNNs, UNets) for data analysis and prediction. In addition, he employs LLMs and Big Data techniques to interpret unstructured data and identify new prospects. He operates under strict QA/QC controls and international standards such as NI 43-101, JORC, and CBRR. He is also involved in risk management and due diligence processes, contributing to the identification of high economic potential opportunities and the mitigation of risks throughout project lifecycles.
Caio Paula
GeologistGeologist graduated from UFRJ, with a Master’s degree in Applied Geophysics from the same institution, focused on developing methodologies to support mineral exploration in phosphate deposits. He has experience in exploration projects that combine advanced geoprocessing techniques with geophysical, geochemical, multispectral, and hyperspectral data for geological mapping and the identification of new targets. Active in targeting projects for strategic commodities such as gold, copper, rare earth elements (REE), lithium, graphite, and magnesite in various regions of Brazil. Proficient in programming languages like Python to optimize workflows and analyze large datasets.
